AYSO's Safe Haven certification is required for all coaches, referees, and team managers.

Safe Haven will protect both you and our children. AYSO's Safe Haven program was an early leader in this area and now many if not most programs that use adult volunteers to help kids have similar training in place, including churches and other sports organizations.

You can take Safe Haven online (at http://aysotraining.org) or in person (see our training calendar). Online is faster and can be done anytime day or night. In person is more thorough and allows you to meet fellow volunteers and ask questions. Safe Haven for referees and team managers is a shorter subset of the longer Coach Safe Haven course. To take it online, you must get your AYSO ID # from http://eayso.org. Even if you take the course in person, you must be fully registered to ensure your training is recorded and tracked and so it is not lost.
