Volunteers are the life blood of AYSO. They allow us to provide a high quality, low cost program. Without volunteers there would be no AYSO. Parent volunteers ensure AYSO is the best it can be for their kids. Be a volunteer and be a great role model for kids!
Our volunteers are worth their weight in gold, please treat them with respect.
No coach, no team.
No referee, no game.
No board members, no region.
All parents should step forward and volunteer, these are your kids we are all helping. Do what you like most:
- If you like organizing, fill one of our board member positions.
- If you need schedule flexibility and like being on the field, become a referee.
- If you like working with kids, become a coach.
Volunteering in AYSO, particularly coaching and refereeing, is a rare opportunity to spend high quality time with your kids and be a great role model.
Coaching, refereeing, and serving on the board are also great chances to enhance your work skills in a supportive environment.
AYSO offers top notch training for all its volunteers -- particularly coaches, referees, and board members. To locate AYSO Volunteer training courses near you, check our
calendar as well as eAYSO:
- Log into http://eayso.org
- Choose "Course Signup" under the "My eAYSO" menu
- Search for the training you need by location and/or date and/or course
- And sign yourself up online! (Please record your scheduled training in your own calendar and don't forget!)
Please note that all volunteers must register and take Safe Haven. The training for those who do not coach, referee, or serve on the board may be as simple as reading the online job description and/or getting directions from other volunteers.
Please consider attending an annual AYSO Expo (Section Conference) where you meet other volunteers and take training from the top AYSO instructors in the nation.
